As a parent, it can be difficult to get all the kids out of the car to go in and get a cup of coffee. These drive up window service locations make it very convenient though. Even if you are just on your way to work you can get what you want without parking and going inside.

There are some challenges for these types of coffee shops to be aware of though. The limited amount of space in there means it all has to be set up very efficiently. Employees have to be able to take orders, make them, and get each customer back on the road quickly. If you are crunched for space you won't be able to get enough employees in there to allow it to flow as it should.

The overhead expenses are definitely lower. You don't have to pay for a large building, high electric bills, keep the bathrooms stocked for customers, or decorate. There is also less equipment to be used because you have a smaller space to put it in. Any drive up coffee shop location really has to maximize the space they have.

A drive up coffee shop is nothing more than a condensed version of the real thing. However, it is established in a location that is very easy to get to and from. The size of the building or the trailer or the business will depend on how many employees you plan to have in place there. It also depends on how elaborate of a menu you want to offer.

A quality menu that is full of delicious drinks will help encourage customers to come back. Even though a drive up coffee shop offers convenience the drinks still have to taste very good to them. You have to run a very efficient operation in order to keep things moving along. Customers will get irate if they place their order and have to wait for a long time to get it.

Make sure you offer cup holders and secure every lid at a drive up coffee shop. You will have to do your part to make sure the customers have a convenient way to hold the drinks. They may be ordering several to take to their co-workers that morning so make sure it is possible.

There is plenty of flexibility for hours when it comes to drive up coffee shops. Some choose to be open all night. Others choose to only be open from 5 am until 12 pm to get the morning coffee drinkers. It is up to you what you want to do with your drive up coffee shop business. It also depends on the amount of traffic you are going to generate during specific times of the day.

Drive up coffee shops have plenty to offer to customers. They are fast and convenient but also offer the great products they have been searching for. Since the overhead costs are lower for this type of business you can also offer it to them at a lower price. The will really love the fact that they are saving money and still getting exactly what they want.
