NuSil Technology Introduces Water-Resistant Dimethicone for Pharmaceutical, Cosmeceutical Applications
Carpinteria, CA (PRWEB) April 24, 2008 -- NuSil Technology, a cutting-edge manufacturer of silicone compounds for the healthcare, drug delivery and pharmaceutical industries, announced the launch of its MED-323 dimethicone product. The product reinforces NuSil's commitment to the pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical industries.
MED-323, a tri-methyl endblocked polydimethylsiloxane, may be considered as an excipient for cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications and offers excellent water repellency in topical skin and hair care products. It meets the requirements of the United States Pharmacopeia National Formulary (NF) and European Pharmacopeia (EP) for a dimethicone at 350 cSt viscosity. In addition, the product is produced in NuSil's FDA-registered manufacturing site.
"NuSil's acquisition of the Simethicone product line in 2004 marked the beginning of the company's commitment to the industry," said Brian Nash, vice president of Marketing and Sales. "With exemplary products, such as MED-323, NuSil Technology unwavers in its support of the pharmaceutical industry."
A masterfile for MED-323 will be filed with the United States Food and Drug Administration, and customers interested in authorization to reference the masterfile should contact NuSil Technology directly. MED-323 is available in 5-gallon and 55-gallon quantities. For more information, visit www.nusil.com or call 805-684-8780.
