What is Hard Water?

Hard water is mainly from underground sources. It is made hard by the minerals like calcium, manganese and magnesium carbonate that leach into it from surrounding rocks. Water that we use every day may be hard and we can see the evidence by the amount of scale that is left on our kettles and coffee machines.
