Kentwood Springs® Bottled Water Company Acquires Abita

Kentwood, LA (PRWEB) December 18, 2007 -- DS Waters (http://www.water.com) is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of Abita Springs Water and its integration into the Louisiana-based bottled water company Kentwood Springs. While the brand names of these former competitors will remain separate, both bottled water brands will be produced by Kentwood Springs. Kentwood Springs will assume management of the bottled water delivery service for both companies.

This integration increases the water delivery service area of Kentwood Springs which now covers the entire Gulf Coast while adding additional sales branches and Associates to the company. As a result of combining these two companies and the addition of new water delivery service routes to the company's roster, Kentwood Springs has begun a major campaign to improve its sales branch offices. These significant increases in turn further deepen the bottled water company's investment in the local economy, which is still recovering from the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina.

"Kentwood Springs is committed to helping the community and to retaining our local roots," said Glen Sanders, vice president and general manager for Kentwood Springs. "With the acquisition of Abita, we are able to both expand the reach of our bottled water delivery service and also ensure that we will be able to work within this vibrant community for years to come."

Kentwood Springs offers its coffee and water delivery service to local homes and businesses and also bottles water for sale in local grocery stores and outlets. The company recently announced partnerships with both the New Orleans Saints and Louisiana State University. For more information, please visit www.water.com.
