Dark Water Studios Announces 'Dogfighter' Online Aerial Combat Game

Dogfighter (www.dark-water-studios.com) is an online-only aerial combat game, complete with a feature-rich, web-based, player and gamer clan community, that takes gaming to the next level of interactivity.

Dogfighter players will take to the skies in beefed-up biplanes fitted with an impressive array of weaponry to cause mischief and mayhem. In addition to the multiplayer Deathmatch mode, clan play is heavily emphasised with Team Deathmatch, Conquest and Objective modes. These are all designed around team dynamics and offer multiple rewards - many based upon the successful completion of team rather than individual objectives.

The web community features will include live statistics and rankings, customisable web pages for every registered player, and team administration features for clan leaders and officers.

The first phase of Dogfighter will launch in March 2008 when gamers will be able to download and play the initial promotional version free of charge.

The company is one of six chosen to showcase Northern Ireland?s creative digital talent on www.crea8ivity.com.

The second phase of Dogfighter will release towards the end of 2008, with Dark Water hoping to continue to offer a subscription-free service to gamers and to continue developing new content based upon direct player feedback via the web community.
