Leading Bio-Identical Physician Offers Free Tele-Seminar to Answer Women's Questions About Natural Hormone Replacement and Why They Pose No Risk

(PRWeb) February 23, 2007 -- Dr. C. W. Randolph, Jr, and Genie James, co-authors of the bestselling book, From Hormone Hell to Hormone Well, will be discussing bio-identical hormones at a free tele-seminar Monday, February 26th at 8:00 pm Eastern.

They will explain why these hormones are safe and can actually decrease the risk of breast cancer while synthetic hormones, such as Premarin and Prempro, have been directly linked to an increased risk of breast and uterine cancer.

To attend this teleseminar, simply go to www.hormonewell.com and click the "Live Teleseminar" Link.

"All hormones are not the same," says C.W. Randolph, author of the best selling book "From Hormone Hell to Hormone Well," "Bio-identical progesterone is so safe that in some cases, doctors give it to women who are at risk of losing a baby because supplementing with bio-identical progesterone will actually support the pregnancy while if they gave the same woman synthetic progesterone, or progestin, it would be lethal to the child, and bio-identical progesterone has also shown to protect against breast cancer."

C.W. Randolph, Jr., M.D., R.Ph., both a trained pharmacist and a practicing board certified gynecologist, is one of the nation's leading authorities on bio-identical hormone therapies.

"In a study released earlier this year, there is a reported 7.2 percent decline in breast cancer rates of women over 50," said Dr. Randolph, "This is linked to the fact that, since the Women's Health Initiative Study was published in 2002 linking synthetic hormones such as Premarin and Prempro to an increase risk of breast cancer, many women decided to go cold turkey and stop filling their prescriptions for synthetic hormone therapies."

According to Dr. Randolph, the drop in the number of women diagnosed with breast cancer is also directly linked to the large number of women who either chose to switch to bio-identical hormone therapies or simply chose bio-identical hormone replacement as their first choice in treatment.

"Over 38 million American women are now entering pre-menopause or menopause and they are seeking alternative solutions to treat the symptoms associated with PMS and menopause," says Dr. Randolph. "Thankfully the Women's Health Initiative study showing that synthetic hormones increase a woman's risk of breast cancer, heart attack, stroke and dementia has made women seek alternative methods such as bio-identical hormones. The prescribed synthetic hormones such as Premarin or Prempro, remain a potential poison to women and I'm glad that finally significant changes are being made in women's receptivity to these potential time bombs."

When asked to explain how bio-identical hormones differ from synthetic hormones, Dr. Randolph stated: "Bio-identical hormones are exactly the same molecular structure as the hormone produced within the body. As a result, the body's hormone receptors recognize bio-identical hormones and accept them. Synthetic hormones have a slightly different molecular structure. Even a small difference can trigger side effects at the cellular level. An increased risk of cancer is one of those side effects."
